In the silent meanders of the Nyong, a wreck lies forgotten by time and man. It is now nothing more than a metal carcass, gutted and eaten away by rust, the remains of an old motorboat that once cut through the river waters with confidence. Today, it no longer sails. It lies on the riverbank, pierced, frozen, like a steel ghost stranded on the edge of a world that has moved on without it. A silent witness to a bygone era when the Nyong was a busy river transport artery, this boat skeleton, in its rusty silence, recalls the days when engines and hopes still roared on the water.
